The science says that gay couples can be parents as good or even better than straight couples. It's better to give children a family than none.
What is hateful to yourself, do not to your neighbor -Hillel the Elder. The desire to raise children and be a whole family is ubiquitous in all human demographics, including gay and straight. Children raised in the system never receive the same level of care as having any set of parents, regardless of the parents orientation.
