Armed teachers would be able to stop, just like law enforcement officers have response time, to neutralize a target as needed. Proper firearms training shows (especially in the United States), that a good guy with a gun is way better than a bad guy with a gun. Many times, people who are not supposed to have firearms know how to properly USE one, but not properly go about maintaining one.
