While eliminating a high-ranking militant like Yahya Sinwar might seem like a strategic win for Israel, targeting individuals doesn’t address the underlying issues fueling this conflict. Military action alone isn't going to bring peace; it just perpetuates a cycle of violence that hurts civilians on both sides. What’s really needed is a focus on diplomacy, human rights, and addressing the conditions that allow groups like Hamas to gain power in the first place. Palestinians deserve self-determination and dignity, and Israelis deserve security, but that won’t come through more airstrikes. We need to push for long-term solutions, not just short-term military victories. Until both sides sit down for real negotiations and work toward a two-state solution, we're going to keep seeing tragedies like this. Peace is possible, but not through violence.
